CATOE RESIGNS
WOW. I am completely stunned. You've probably heard by now about the news that is lighting up Twitter like crazy: John Catoe has just announced that he will be resigning, effective April 2nd.
This is his official statement:
“I have decided that it is time for me to channel my future in new directions and provide this organization an opportunity to move beyond the current distractions,” Catoe said. “Good leaders know how to impact change. Great leaders know when it’s time for leadership change. I hope I fall into the latter category.”
I can't even describe how weird it is to see this not even 24 hours after we sat down with him and re-invented his public image together - completely due to how he conducted himself. I don't know if this is a huge opportunity lost or a master plan working?

That whole 24 hours was the strangest experience in a long time. Stunning.
Agreed. I know some of the bloggers were saying they kind felt used from the whole thing...I don't think it was an intentional ploy, I think it's just the way things came together. But I don't know...the cancelling of the event and then putting it back on at the last minute does make me wonder.
