Metro Misinformed, Part 8: Game Over

You know, every time I think I've seen it all on Metro, I come to find out that I am so very wrong. Somebody does something stupid just to prove me wrong, it seems.
Here's the scene: Chinatown. Friday night. Rush hour.
Train is pulling away. Loud teenagers are running around the platform. One of them JUMPS ON THE SIDE OF THE TRAIN. Like a hobo clinging onto the doors. And he rides it quite a ways down the platform. Holding on like a hobo. Other teenagers laugh and cajole.
Let me tell you, everyone else on that platform was pretty freaked out.
Our Metro tracks seem pretty prone to people these days, and whether the occurrence is intended or accidental, it's never a good situation. That foot or so on the edge of the platform is bumpy for a reason: to tell you to stay back. If you go down, either a train will get you, or the third rail will. On a good day, maybe just a rat will get you. Do you want to test fate? I sure don't.
Please, children, let's not be hobos on the back of the trains.

Some people really deserve what's coming to them. Wow.
