Calling All Metro Cyclists and Walkers
If you walk or bike to your Metro station to start your commute, Metro wants to hear from you! I strongly suggest you take advantage of this if you are able to.
Metro is hosting a public workshop on Wednesday, July 22, to obtain input from riders on how to improve bicycle and pedestrian access for people who bike or walk to Metro.
The workshop will take place from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. with a presentation at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 22, at Metro Headquarters, Lobby Level Meeting Room, 600 5th Street, NW, Washington, DC.
It's always great to see Metro taking steps to involve rider feedback. Especially when it is about something like helping people get to the stations without driving. Parking costs money and is often very hard to come by at some Metro stations...encouraging biking and walking to stations, where possible, is awesome.
Something that I found pretty interesting in this article was the top ten list. I'm going to post that separately because it deserves it's own post. And I'm nice like that.
Metro's press release is here.
